Hello everyone,
Since the first day I joined the
Ratchet & Clank fandom, I always thought that I would continue on making fan related art of the famous game series. But it seems that I haven't made ANY
R&C drawing in the past years and that the other
R&C fans have moved on to other- and original work. That's not a problem, after all; the things we like to do can not be set in stone, right? (Unless your drawing is made in a stone, then that's an exception
)
However, it seems that some of my old friends, my friends that I've met via the
Ratchet & Clank fandom have vanished from the earth. That's also not a problem, everyone has a real life outside of DeviantArt and outside of the internet itself. We all "go with the flow" on our own ways and make sure that we will be fine.
However, I joined the fandom to make more art and to have fun. I'm afraid that I couldn't keep my own promise.
More than 2 years have passed since I uploaded my last
Ratchet & Clank drawing and I'm deciding to make a new start.
In these past years I have learned many ways of drawing and I'm eager to use those in my newest drawing that was highly related to the
Ratchet & Clank series... A character that I personally built... *choir background music* Crafted by the tablet of the beginning... A CHARACTER THAT HA- okay I'm talking about my first OC: Jamie Jackson:
ansem1000.deviantart.com/art/J…I've decided that he will get a HUGE upgrade. As you can see in the drawing that I've made in 2008; the proportions of the body are wrong, the pose is awkward and so on, and so on.
Even though I have moved on to make original work and
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic related work; With the knowledge I have now, I want to get back into the
Ratchet & Clank fanart and back into using DeviantArt some more, because I want to have that much fun in drawing again, like I used to have
I haven't forgotten about this fandom, this was where I started after all, 5 years ago.
Now I'm part of the beginning animation studios:
Skynamic Studios and
Oxinfree Studios and I'm still enjoying my college time and education of gamedesign, so everything is still as I'd hoped!

Now to all the old Ratchet & Clank fans:How did your life develop in these past years after leaving the fandom?
Please comment on this journal and tell me about your development and if you haven't left the fandom or just took a "hiatus" on it, I'd still love to hear about it!
Kind regards,
Michel M. Prins
